Welcome to the Optimist Club of Stratford! We are a volunteer-driven service organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people and strengthening our community through optimism, service, and leadership.
Who We Are
The Optimist Club of Stratford was chartered in 1937 and is part of Optimist International, a global organization committed to providing hope and positive vision for the future. Our members believe that optimism is a powerful force for change—and we put that belief into action every day.
Through community programs, youth activities, and service projects, we work together to create opportunities that help children and families thrive.
What We Do
Our club proudly supports Stratford and surrounding communities through initiatives such as: youth programs and activities, scholarships and educational support, community service projects, fundraising events that give back locally and leadership development for young people.
Every project we undertake is guided by our mission to inspire optimism and empower the next generation.

You don’t need special skills—just a desire to help and a positive attitude. Become a Member: Join a group of like-minded individuals making a real impact. Volunteer: Lend a hand at events and community projects. Partner With Us: Support our initiatives through sponsorships or collaboration.
New Members
Membership Fees & Meeting Dates
Annual Membership Dues: $62.00 per person.
Meeting Schedule: Business Meeting: 2nd Thursday of each month. Dinner Meeting: 4th Thursday of each month.
Meetings provide an opportunity to connect with fellow members, plan community projects, and support youth initiatives in Stratford.
Interested in Joining?
Our meetings are friendly, informal, and open to guests. Discussion at meetings may include: Planning and updates on youth programs and community projects. Fundraising activities and upcoming events. Club business and administrative matters. New ideas from members and guests. Opportunity to connect with fellow members.
